In 2011, IBPS announced a Common Written Examination (CWE) for the selection Officers and Clerks in Indian banks. IBPS CWE is now mandatory for anyone who seeks an employment in 20 public sector and Regional Rural banks. IBPS periodically accepts the exam applications from the candidates at their website, and the exams are organized at various locations in the country in online mode. Eligbility Criteria
Age Limit:
20 to 28 Years (a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1987 and not later than 01.08.1995 (both dates inclusive))
Qualification:
A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from Recognized University by the Govt of India
Exam Pattern
The Preliminary exam:
This exam will be of 1 hour duration and he total number of questions asked will be 100. The paper will be divided into three parts, with 1 mark for 1 Question:
English language (30 questions)
Numerical ability (35 questions) and
Reasoning ability (35 quThe mains exam: The duration of mains exam will be of 2 hours and the exam will be of 200 marks. The exam is divided into 5 sections namely:
All the questions are 1 mark questions. Negative making is also employed in this exam. Out of 1 mark 0.25 marks would be deducted for every wrong answer. The questions asked in general awareness section have special reference to banking industry.
